The National Park Service in its "Weekly List" today announced the listing in the National Register of Historic Places on 20 August of four resources located in Kiowa County, Colorado: the Hotel Holly/ Haswell Hotel in Haswell and the Crow/Hightower House, Eads School Gymnaisium, and Eads Community Church, all in Eads. In May the History Colorado Board of Directors approved listing of three other Kiowa County resources in the State Register of Historic Properties: Sheridan Lake School in Sheridan Lake; the Jackson Barn in Eads; and the Haswell Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot in Haswell. Front Range prepared the nominations for the Kiowa County Historic Preservation Commissions with funding from the Certified Local Government program.
